What we build

One team covering the full stack of a modern machine: perception, mechanics, electronics, and the software that ties them together. Below is what that means in practice.

01 / INTELLIGENT MACHINES & PHYSICAL AI

Machines that sense, decide, and act.

This is where most of our work lives: machines that close the loop between sensing and physical action. We combine computer vision, sensor fusion, and adaptive control so a system can perceive what’s happening and respond in real time. A fitness device that reads a stroke and adjusts its resistance, a harvesting platform that sees a crop and decides when to act. The intelligence and the mechanics are designed together, by the same team, and this is the reason why they actually work together.

02 / OPTICS, SEMICONDUCTORS & BIOTECH

Precision systems, from optics to biotech.

Our engineers have built the hard stuff: sub-micron optomechanical alignment, laser diode integration, microfluidic-to-semiconductor packaging, and medical device mechanics under regulatory constraints. That range across optics, semiconductors, and biotechnology is deliberate. The underlying discipline (tight tolerances, clean interfaces, systems that must not fail) is the same, and it’s what lets us move into a new sector quickly. Where a system needs a controller, its control software is designed alongside it, so what we hand over is a working system, not a box of parts.

03 / SOFTWARE, WRITTEN BY ENGINEERS

Software that understands the system underneath it.

The half of Lysitron that isn’t hardware is software, and it’s written by people who understand the physics and the process underneath it. That’s the difference between generic code and an optimization engine that routes cabling while respecting EMI and voltage separation, or a decision-support tool that prioritizes by real-world impact rather than a due date. Some of this software ships embedded inside the machines we design; some runs as a standalone platform for a partner.

04 / FROM PROTOTYPE TO PRODUCT

From prototype to product.

Ideas become physical fast in our Athens lab. 3D printing, CNC, electronics, and firmware, enough to build and program a complete working prototype rather than a slide. But we don’t stop at the prototype: when a design is ready, our qualified manufacturing partners take it to production scale, with Lysitron holding the specification, the tolerances, and the final integration. So the same team that proves a concept on the bench can carry it through to a manufacturable product. We’re not limited to what our own machines can make.

05 / UNDERNEATH IT ALL

Simulation as a tool, not a deliverable.

Underpinning all of the above is deep simulation capability. Structural, thermal, fluid, and dynamic (FEA & CFD), with automated scripting that sweeps hundreds of design variables instead of guessing at three. We mention it last on purpose: for us, simulation isn’t the product, it’s how we de-risk a design before anything physical exists.

And what we don't build.

Our work always has engineering at its core: physics, machines, or the systems and software that govern them. If that’s the hard part of your problem, it’s the kind of thing we do, whatever form it ships in, a high-precision device, its control system, an optimization engine, or a full product with a mobile app on top.

We’re not the right fit when engineering is solved and the real issue is something else: a purely cosmetic website, a marketing-led app, a branding project.
